A hot evening in Jakobstad with KAJ and BastuTiBasel

It was an evening to remember when KAJ filled the newly built Projekt Liv arena in Jakobstad with music, laughter and singalongs. Among the audience there was another kind of heat as well – the sauna from the BastuTiBasel project, placed inside the grounds for a more private experience.

With the help of the sauna tracker, which we at Trolle contributed to the project, we were able to follow the sauna's temperature throughout the concert. And sure enough – during KAJ's performance the heat rose to a peak of a full 100 degrees. It made for a nice bit of symbolism: the music on stage and the heat of the sauna went hand in hand.

BastuTiBasel on home ground

The sauna belongs to BastuTiBasel, which during the year has brought people together around sauna culture, both in Finland and across Europe. Having it stand in Jakobstad during KAJ's concert was a fine reminder of how music and sauna can come together as community – even without being part of the performance itself.

Trolle – versatile technology in everyday life

For Trolle the evening was also proof of how technology can be used in new ways. The sauna tracker, developed to log and analyse sauna experiences, shows how the platform not only collects data from sensors but also helps simplify practical work in many different contexts.

Trolle is fundamentally a platform for simplifying everyday life through smart data collection and the management of working time and tasks. It can combine information from sensors, work logs, vehicles and mobile devices – and turn it into something that is easy to understand and use in practice.

Examples of use:

  • Working environment and health – following temperature, air quality and workload.
  • Time and tasks – keeping track of work efforts, projects and processes.
  • Transport and logistics – matching vehicles and mobile devices to understand flows.
  • Culture and events – as here, where the sauna tracker became part of a concert experience.

It is precisely this breadth that makes Trolle a tool for both everyday work and development. From a sauna in Jakobstad to a workplace in Helsinki or a lorry on the roads of Europe – Trolle helps make practical work simpler and easier to grasp.
