Sensors in everyday life – from sauna to property
You may remember our sauna tracker from the KAJ concert in Jakobstad – the sensor that logged the sauna's temperature up to a peak of 100 degrees. A playful example, but the technology behind it is entirely serious.
The same technology, for real
The same type of sensor that measured the sauna monitors quite different things at our customers today:
- Temperature and humidity in properties – catch the leak before it becomes water damage
- Cold rooms and freezers – an alarm when the temperature deviates, with a log showing the whole sequence
- Operation and machine health – follow equipment that has to run steadily, around the clock
- Working environment – air quality and temperature where people actually work
From measurement to action
A number on a screen helps nobody. The point of the sensors in Trolle is what happens next: when values deviate, alarms and work orders are created automatically – for the right person, with the right information. And the trend data is stored, so you can work proactively instead of reactively.
Small enough to start with
No large IoT programme is needed to begin. A handful of sensors on the most critical points goes a long way – and Trolle combines the sensor data with the work logs, vehicles and tasks you already have in the system.
